The winners of the 13th 2026 Lightwave Innovation Reviews have been announced, with Crealights receiving recognition for its Optical Transceivers Based on Silicon Photonics Interposer.

Crealights 800G, 1.6T and beyond Optical Transceivers based on Silicon Photonics Interposer Technology have integrated a compact modulator, photodiode and electrical fanout circuit in a silicon photonics (SiPh) interposer chip, where the DSP integrated with driver and TIA can be directly packaged on top of the SiPh interposer with wafer-level packaging (WLP) technology. In this way, the optical transceiver can be simplified with fewer components, enabling low-cost, high-capacity mass production. Additionally, the requirements on swing voltage and power are significantly reduced by short RF and power-supply paths, resulting in lower power consumption for optical transceivers. The SiPh interposer integrates compact optical modulators, photodiodes, passive optical components, and fan-out circuits for DSP chips.

Judges commented: “Tighter integration of silicon photonics with other key silicon functions such as modulator drivers and TIAs will enable the greater density, performance, and lower power needed for scale-up and scale-across applications in data centers.”

This award marks authoritative international recognition of Crealights’ innovation in high-speed optical modules and silicon photonics. The company boasts end-to-end capabilities covering silicon photonic chip design, wafer testing, and module manufacturing, including a complete chip technology chain, proprietary “Wafer-In, Module-Out” integrated manufacturing platform, and full optical module R&D and mass-production capacity.

Currently, Crealights’ 1.6T silicon photonic modules are under customer validation, with 3.2T/6.4T optoelectronic chip development advancing steadily. The company is also investing in next-generation high-speed optical interconnect technologies to maintain its industry leadership.

Going forward, Crealights will continue to focus on R&D of high-end optical communication devices and modules, providing competitive products and solutions to promote the development of data center and AI computing interconnect infrastructure.
